THE LOS ANGELES PHILHARMONIC
PARTNERS WITH THE JR. PHILHARMONIC

The Los Angeles Philharmonic invited the Jr. Philharmonic to be a partner in a major initiative to cultivate the next generation of professional musicians. As part of this program, the LA Phil provides its world class musicians, conductors and guest artists to mentor the musicians of the Jr. Phil at rehearsals, in master classes and in concerts.

In addition, members of the Jr. Phil were invited to perform with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra on June 22, 2007 - - Opening Night at the Bowl. On Sunday, November 11, the LA Phil hosted the Jr. Phil in concert at Walt Disney Hall.

Jr. Phil violinist Debra Marisa Greene was quoted in the Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl program as follows: "What a thrilling experience! The program with the L.A. Philharmonic has added an exciting new dimension to my world of music. After rehearsing with LA Phil musicians, I am so inspired to practice my violin."

The opportunity to meet and rehearse with members of the L.A. Philharmonic is a very rewarding experience, and the Jr. Philharmnonic is most appreciative of this partnership.
